WILLEMSTAD - The police will temporarily close a part of Punda tomorrow, Friday May 3rd, and Saturday May 4th, between 6:30 AM and 12:00 PM, as part of the preparation and ceremony to commemorate those who lost their lives during wartime, missions of international organizations, or due to terrorists.
On both days, the roads will be closed from the Citco office on De Ruyterkade up to the bus stop in Punda. The police will redirect traffic to Punda via Nieuwestraat in Pietermaai. Motorists leaving Punda must follow the traffic instructions from the police.
The bus stop in Punda at Waaigatplein will also be temporarily relocated on the mentioned dates and times. Public transportation, including minibusses and buses from the A.B.C. bus company, will use Ansinghstraat as the final stop and then continue their route to Johan van Walbeeckplein.
During the mentioned drill and/or ceremony, the bus stop on Roodeweg in Otrobanda near the Military Cemetery will be temporarily out of service.
