WILLEMSTAD - A tragic incident occurred on Sunday at a beach near a hotel in Piscadera, where a tourist drowned. According to initial investigations, the man had been swimming with his family when he went out of sight.
Frantically searching for him, the family eventually discovered him at the bottom of the sea. Immediate efforts were made to rescue the drowning victim, and he was swiftly transported by ambulance to the Emergency Department at the Curaçao Medical Center. Subsequently, he was admitted to the intensive care unit, but sadly, his condition deteriorated, and he passed away later that evening.
At this time, the family of the deceased is yet to be notified, which is why his identity has not been disclosed.
