WILLEMSTAD - Four-time American chess champion Alexander Shabalov is visiting Curaçao this week. He is here at the invitation of the Capablanca Chess Club. Members will have the opportunity to test their skills against the grandmaster on Saturday. Shabalov will play against 25 chess players simultaneously.
Due to his visit, a break has been scheduled in the Capablanca Championship. The simultaneous game will take place at the Frater Aurelio building. All chess enthusiasts are invited to witness the legendary American in action.
