‘Tis The Season: Sandals Foundation and Hasbro Gift Over 16,000 Toys in Annual Holiday Distribution

Local | By Press release December 27, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - The Sandals Foundation and Hasbro have come together once again this Holiday Season for their annual toy distribution, making the most wonderful time of the year for 16,000 children across the Caribbean even brighter.

Since 2011, the Sandals Foundation has partnered with United States based toy company, Hasbro, to mobilize hundreds of helpers who volunteer to spread the joy, going into schools and local communities with toys and games to kick off the holiday season.

“We are grateful to be in the position to give about 1,000 toys directly to schools day care centers and organizations that are taking care of children in need. This year our Sandals Foundation Holiday Toys Drive brought our team members and myself to Siloam in Soto, Fundashon Encelia and the Montaña community (Sur Lumena venue) under the auspices of Inspector Aniceta to name a few. We were treated to the performance of the “Banda Bati Bleki” and met with a representative of the Kiko i e Man Children’s project.” says Jeffrey Speelman, General Manager of Sandals Royal Curaçao.

“The holiday season is a time for giving and sharing, and even more a time to inspire hope. We are incredibly grateful to be able to partner with Hasbro to bring joy to children in a way that lets them know they are being thought of,” says Patrice Gilpin, Public Relations Manager at Sandals Foundation.

The annual Holiday Toy Distribution has become a tradition for children in Jamaica, Curaçao, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands, Grenada, Barbados, and now expands to its newest home, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
