WILLEMSTAD - Police held traffic check outside Mambo Beach Club late at night on Wednesday this week. The purpose of to check for motorists driving under the influence of alcohol. Three drivers were caught.

That does not seem like much, but the police can only check if there is a suspicion. It is not allowed to just let someone go through the test.

The Public Prosecution Service wants the law to be amended accordingly and has asked Minister Zita Jesus-Leito for action. She has not yet responded.
