Three departments Curacao Medical Center after opening in Sehos

WILLEMSTAD - Patients receiving medical care in three departments will not move to the new hospital yet. They will still have to go to the old hospital for intervention / radiology, radiotherapy and heart catheterization, but this is done under the responsibility of the Curacao Medical Center.

The main reason is that the equipment is not yet operational in the new hospital. According to spokesperson Clifton Wallé this will take two months at most. He says that the report which says that the operating rooms are not yet active, is "fake news".

The list of AT Osbourne that came out that mentions defects at the Curacao Medical Center was an old list, Wallé says. The latest list has meanwhile been cleaned up considerably. The spokesperson emphasizes that patient safety is not at risk.
