WILLEMSTAD - The Netherlands will finalize the tax arrangement with Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten. Finance Minister Javier Silvania says that the Dutch parliament has yet to approve the new tax scheme.
Silvania says he has no idea how long this will take. The national government has indicated that it will negotiate more on international tax treaties. The tax arrangement between the Netherlands and Curaçao (BRNC) will eventually be continued with adjustments.
The BRNC currently still aims to prevent double taxation without creating opportunities for tax evasion.
