THE HAGUE - The Netherlands has pledged to support the implementation of baseline measurement recommendations in Curaçao's education system. The Education Inspectorate of Curaçao collaborated with the Netherlands' Education Inspectorate to produce a final report, which was submitted to State Secretary of Kingdom Relations Alexandra Van Huffelen.
Many of the report's recommendations align with initiatives already being implemented in Curaçao, such as the Education Agenda and the Education Improvement Plan. Van Huffelen has expressed her support for Education Minister Cithree Van Heydoorn's plan to work together to give substance to the results through a series of working meetings, and the Temporary Work Organization has offered to help.
The two ministers will meet later this month to discuss the results of the baseline measurement and to determine the extent to which the Netherlands can provide assistance to the Ministry of Education.
