THE HAGUE - The cabinet in the Netherlands, together with the travel industry and the insurers' association, is allocating 10 million euros to take stranded travelers back to the Netherlands.
According to the Minister of Foreign Stef Blok, this concerns thousands of holidaymakers. For travelers within Europe, a personal contribution of 300 euros is requested, compatriots in the rest of the world who want to return 900 euros.
The arrangement does not apply to Dutch people who live and work abroad. It concerns travelers who cannot appeal to a travel organization, this group can register at www.bijzonderebijstandbuitenland.nl
