Local | By Correspondent April 24, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - The Government of Curaçao, represented by Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas and Minister of Social Development, Labor and Welfare Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia, resumed its tripartite dialogue with the three labor unions and the Business Association of Curaçao (VBC) on April 21, 2023.

The three labor unions are the General Union of Workers of Curaçao (CGTC), the Union Federation of Curaçao (SSK), and the Solidarity Union Federation (SSS).

During this meeting, attention was focused on creating a more adequate structure for the Tripartite Platform, which consists of the three parties: the employers' representatives, the workers' representatives, and the Government of Curaçao. This structure will determine how meetings will be conducted and the themes and priorities that will be addressed in each meeting.

The meeting took place in a positive atmosphere, with ample space for each party to dialogue and share information with each other on how to reach a more effective structure. The next meeting is scheduled for May 5, 2023.
