The Dutch cabinet discusses emergency support islands

THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch cabinet will only come later with support measures for Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the Caribbean Netherlands.

The government replies to parliamentary questions about the economic and social emergency package for the preservation of jobs and businesses on the islands. Curaçao asked in a letter for financial support on Friday. How much that will be can only be determined later.

The emergency package is being discussed in the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament today.

Yesterday there was already a briefing and a legislative meeting. Due to the haste surrounding the corona crisis, a vote will be taken today after the debate on the motions tabled.
