| By Correspondent February 23, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – On Friday, February 21, a delegation consisting of seven local companies, accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), CINEX (Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency), the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and the Curaçao Manufacturers Association (CMA), boarded the cruise ship Renaissance to participate in the Curaçao Business Cruise Trade Mission 2026. The mission, organized by VBC, marks a significant collaborative effort aimed at promoting Curaçao’s economic interests and stimulating new business opportunities within the Caribbean region.

The participation of the delegation underscores the joint commitment of both the public and private sectors in Curaçao to actively engage in regional trade and investment initiatives. Through this mission, participants aim to explore new markets, establish strategic connections and contribute to broader objectives related to economic growth and regional integration.

The mission brings together Curaçao-based companies with the goal of strengthening regional trade, investment and cooperation across eight Caribbean destinations. The program includes structured business-to-business matchmaking sessions, meetings with government representatives, sector-focused dialogues and networking events designed to foster sustainable business partnerships.

In addition, the mission seeks to promote Curaçao as a reliable and well-positioned business hub, while encouraging export diversification in priority sectors. Through direct dialogue between governmental and private-sector partners, the initiative also supports the exploration of formal frameworks for cooperation in areas such as trade facilitation, investment promotion, tourism collaboration and innovation.

A key objective of the mission is to support the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises from Curaçao by offering practical opportunities to access new markets and establish strategic connections with regional stakeholders.

Overall, the Curaçao Business Cruise Trade Mission 2026 reflects the island’s broader commitment to sustainable economic growth, regional integration and the strengthening of the competitiveness of its private sector within the Caribbean.
