WILLEMSTAD - Following a bout of bad weather that wreaked havoc on several beaches about a month ago, Curaçao's coastal areas have undergone significant restoration efforts, as reported by the Amigoe. Beaches in locations such as Sta. Cruz and Grote Knip had become inaccessible, with Daaibooi, Westpunt, and Kleine Knip also experiencing severe damage. However, thanks to extensive refurbishment initiatives, all damaged beaches in Banda’bou have been restored to their former glory by the Ministry of Health, Nature, and Environment and are now welcoming visitors once again.
Curaçao's beaches are renowned as a major draw for tourists, and recognizing their importance, the government swiftly took action to address the aftermath of the inclement weather. Cleaning and repair operations were promptly carried out to ensure that these popular attractions were fully accessible to locals and visitors alike, underscoring the government's commitment to preserving and enhancing the island's natural beauty and tourism appeal.
