WILLEMSTAD - An applicant who applied for the position of financial director at the Curacao Medical Center (CMC) will receive more than 200,000 guilders from the hospital. The judge ruled this in response to a lawsuit filed by the woman.
It was previously communicated that the amount involved was more than 600,000 guilders, but that is incorrect. The woman filed a lawsuit after CMC acted unreasonably during the application process. The total compensation was estimated at 600,000 guilders, but the judge ruled that the woman will be reimbursed one-third of that.
The applicant also received compensation two years ago, following the judgment of the judge at the time. The compensation that the woman now receives includes part of the court fee, summoning costs, and salary.
