WILLEMSTAD – Sunday, July 6, 2025, was a day of precision, teamwork, and healthy competition at the Asiento Shooting Range as athletes gathered for the OSFC Team Event, a highlight on Curaçao’s shooting sports calendar. Marksmen and women from various age categories competed in two dynamic disciplines: the Mixed Team Event and the Junior Team Event.
In the Mixed Team Event, each team consisted of one female and one male shooter, while the Junior Team Event featured duos of talented young male marksmen. The competition kicked off with a qualification round, where each team fired a total of 60 shots. The top four teams advanced to the finals.
The final rounds followed a thrilling head-to-head format. At each command, shooters alternated firing shots within a strict 50-second time limit. After each round, the combined team scores were tallied. The team with the highest total score received two points. The first team to reach 16 points won the match.
Ingrid Gonesh and Paulo Rodrigues secured the bronze medal. In the gold medal final, the standout duo of Mikayla Huizer and Philip Elhage faced off against the formidable team of Priya Santhiappan and Sedney Martis. With calm focus, flawless cooperation, and pinpoint accuracy, Mikayla and Philip emerged victorious. Their impressive qualification score of 557 points (Mikayla 272, Philip 285) had already set the tone for their success.

The Junior Team Event also delivered high-level performances. Alan Feng and his teammate Venesh Santhiappan claimed a convincing victory, earning them the top spot on the podium.
