WILLEMSTAD - A suspect from Haiti and a suspect from Venezuela appeared in court yesterday in Curaçao during a pro forma hearing about the fire in the Tax Office, which took place last August.
It was clear yesterday that the two have been brought to justice in close cooperation with the judiciary in Haiti and Venezuela. According to sources close to the case, telephone taps have played an important role in finding out the perpetrators.
Several people have been intercepted by the Public Prosecution Service. The case will be heard on July 8.
The justice department sees this as a case of terrorism against the government.
