WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) has launched an evaluation and decision-making process to determine who will fill the various technical and medical positions within the national football teams moving forward.
The review follows the expiration of the contracts of the national team head coach and the members of the technical and medical staff on July 31, 2026, in accordance with the terms agreed upon in their contracts.
FFK said the evaluation will be comprehensive and is intended to identify the leadership structure that best aligns with the federation's sporting ambitions and the continued development of football in Curaçao.
According to the federation, the review will extend beyond preparations for upcoming international competitions. It will also focus on the long-term structural development of football on the island, including player development, coach education, and strengthening the technical framework that supports the national teams.
FFK emphasized that quality, continuity, professionalism and sustainable development will be the guiding principles throughout the evaluation process.
The federation also expressed its appreciation to the outgoing technical and medical staff for their dedication, commitment and professionalism during their tenure, acknowledging their contribution to the progress of football in Curaçao.
Interim FFK President Fabi Constansia said the expiration of the contracts was in line with the original agreements.
"The contracts of the national team head coach and the technical and medical staff have concluded as agreed," Constansia said. "As the federation's leadership, we respect those agreements and accept our responsibility to carefully evaluate which technical direction best matches the ambitions and future development of football in Curaçao. We will conduct this process in a professional and transparent manner, with the interests of our national teams and the future of Curaçao football as our highest priority."
FFK said it will keep the football community informed once the evaluation process has been completed and decisions regarding the new technical and medical staff have been made.
