MEXICO - In a decisive match held in Tepic, Mexico, Team USA convincingly defeated the Kingdom of the Netherlands baseball team with a final score of 11-1 in the Premier12 tournament. The game started with a spectacular play for the Kingdom team, as Didi Gregorius hit a home run off the very first pitch from American pitcher Lawrence.
This opening strike set the stage for an early 2-0 lead. Jonathan Schoop followed with a base hit and advanced cleverly to third base, allowing Juremi Profar to bring him home.
Despite this strong start, Team USA quickly regained control. They tied the score 2-2 in the second inning and took the lead in the third inning. The Americans solidified their advantage with four additional runs in the sixth inning and another five in the seventh inning. The Kingdom team managed to score one more run late in the game but could not avoid a heavy defeat.
With this result, the Kingdom of the Netherlands team now stands at one win and one loss in the tournament as they prepare for their next match against Puerto Rico.
