WILLEMSTAD – Taxi organization Sinusta held a meeting with drivers on Curaçao on Friday to discuss cooperation, safety and modernization within the island’s taxi sector.
According to local reports, both members and non-members of the organization were invited to attend the gathering and share their views about the future of the industry.
During the meeting, taxi drivers had the opportunity to discuss their experiences, concerns and ideas regarding the challenges facing the sector. Sinusta said it is important for drivers to come together to talk about the issues affecting their work and to search collectively for solutions.
Topics discussed included improving cooperation between drivers and strengthening the role of organizations that represent the interests of the taxi industry. Participants also addressed issues such as professionalization, safety and innovation in taxi transportation.
According to Sinusta, stronger collaboration among drivers is essential to improving the position of taxi operators on the island.
The organization said it plans to continue holding discussions with drivers as part of broader efforts to build a stable and future-ready taxi sector in Curaçao.
