WILLEMSTAD - In April, the Tax and Customs Administration exceeded the budgeted amount by 0.6 million. A total of 95.4 million was deposited into the government's coffers. Additionally, social security contribution income surpassed the budgeted amount by 6.1 million.
The Ministry of Finance confirms that the Tax and Customs Administration's performance in the first four months aligns with the budget expectations. Tax revenues for the period up to and including April are 1 percent lower than anticipated, while premium revenues are 3.5 percent higher. However, there is a lag in profit tax and OZB (property tax) revenue. Notably, there has been an increase in turnover tax revenue compared to 2022. Wage tax has also seen a 3.2 percent growth compared to the previous year.
