Symposium on Water Quality to Be Held in Curaçao in November

WILLEMSTAD – The Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA) and the Caribbean Research and Management of Biodiversity Foundation (CARMABI) will host a symposium on water quality in the Dutch Caribbean on November 5. The event will take place at the Renaissance Hotel in Willemstad.

The symposium, themed Healthy Waters. Thriving Nature. Vibrant Communities, will also mark CARMABI’s 70th anniversary. Organizers say the goal is to highlight scientific insights into water quality while exploring the vital connections between people and nature across the region.

The program will focus on how research, community involvement, and conservation efforts can contribute to balancing healthy ecosystems with resilient societies. For seven decades, CARMABI has played a leading role in science, nature conservation, and education in the Dutch Caribbean.

While the final schedule has not yet been released, organizers have confirmed that additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
