ORANJESTAD - A suspicious boat was discovered in Aruba's territorial waters late Thursday night. The Coast Guard immediately dispatched one of its patrol boats and successfully intercepted the vessel, which was found to be carrying drugs. On board, four men of Venezuelan nationality were found in possession of several packages containing over 470 kilograms of drugs.
The Coast Guard announced the interception over the weekend, confirming the details of the operation. The four suspects have been handed over to the Aruba Police Force, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
