Patients had complained in the media about the surgeon's medical performance. An investigation has also shown that there wasn’t any medical dysfunction related to the doctor.
Moreover, the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) has not been able to prove that there was a disturbed employment relationship. The hospital must now apply for a work permit from the Ministry of Public Health (GMN), so that the surgeon can work again. In the meantime, he can carry out other activities for which no exemption is required.
