WILLEMSTAD - In a joint operation, the Police Arrest Team and the Immigration Service apprehended a man at Hato Airport on Monday afternoon. The 27-year-old suspect has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a violent incident that occurred last year.
The incident unfolded on Christmas Day when the victim was driving his car near a snèk establishment in the Juan Domingo/Mahuma area. It was during this time that the suspect allegedly opened fire, targeting the victim.
Following the arrest, law enforcement authorities will intensify their efforts to gather crucial evidence and interview witnesses to shed light on the motive and circumstances surrounding the attempted murder.
