WILLEMSTAD - On Sunday, the police arrested a man for counterfeiting money, as announced by the Korps Politie Curaçao. The suspect is a 23-year-old man.
Investigation revealed that the suspect had inserted multiple fake hundred-guilder bills into a slot machine at a casino in Punda. During a search of his residence on Javastraat in Otrobanda, a quantity of counterfeit money was also found and seized.
The suspect has been brought before a public prosecutor and is currently in custody, pending further investigation.
