WILLEMSTAD - The substantive treatment of the Marnix case starts on Wednesday. Three police officers who did the rigorous check on 25 students of Marnix College on 7 September last year are being prosecuted.
The officers have instructed several students to put their pants and underpants down. The young people also had to stoop twice. Earlier, the national investigation concluded that there was no basis for this thorough control. During the pro-forma session in April, the lawyer of the agents announced that he wanted to interrogate Aubert Wiels. Wiels is the teacher who is charged with the checks.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, the file of the case consists of more than 800 pages and the treatment will probably take up all day.
