Subsidy for support Caribbean students and starters in the labor market

Local | By Correspondent November 29, 2022

THE HAGUE - Brain drain is a major problem on the islands. That is the reason why the Netherlands makes funds available to help Caribbean students and starters with their remigration. This is badly needed because there is a great need for professionals on the islands.

That is why the Netherlands wants to make it more attractive for people to return and dedicate themselves to their native island. Until 2027, the WeConnect foundation receives an annual subsidy to match starters with an employer. In 2023, this will amount to approximately 200,000 euros.
