WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), in close cooperation with Carnival Corporation, organized a special event for the community of Curaçao. On Thursday, August 17, 70 students from primary and secondary schools were given the opportunity to go on board of the cruise ship Carnival Celebration, which was moored at the Mega Pier Tula.
During this educational day, the students were given a full tour of the ship, which was concluded with lunch on board. The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (ESCS), Mr. Sithree van Heydoorn, who represented the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Ruisandro Cijntje, accompanied the students during this event. CPA, in collaboration with the cruise lines, will continue to come up with initiatives to engage the local community in the cruise industry.
