WILLEMSTAD - Students heading to the U.S. or the Netherlands to study will be given priority to obtain their driver's license before departure. This was announced by the Bureau Rijbewijzen.
Registration will begin on Monday, April 8 for all students studying abroad who wish to take their driving exam before leaving. At the time of registration, each interested student must be at least 18 years old.
The last day to register with the Department of Driver's Licenses is Friday, June 14. Registration is done via email and is only valid if a copy of the identity card and the application to the Stichting Studiefinanciering Curaçao (SSC) is included.
Students going abroad to study and not receiving funding from the SSC must have a statement from their current school.
