WILLEMSTAD - The intense winds of the past few days have led to several power outages, as reported by Aqualectra on its Facebook page this Sunday.
Neighborhoods such as Weto, Stanta Rosa, Libie, and Veeris experienced power disruptions on Saturday. Additionally, Las Almas and Warawaraweg were affected, leaving residents without electricity. A brief interruption occurred on Koraalspechtweg for a few minutes.
The wind adversely affected the tension cables. The Meteorological Service of Curaçao had forecasted robust winds with forceful gusts in its weather report. Furthermore, the weather service issued a code yellow for rough sea conditions. At the Aqualectra premises in Mundo Nobo, significant puddles of seawater accumulated due to the turbulent sea.
