WILLEMSTAD - The strike at the Isla refinery is over. It started after the unions were told that there was no money for salaries due to the problems at Girobank.
Curoil and Aqualectra have promised to pay their bills to the refinery today, so that there is money again. The run at gas stations that started yesterday after the news about the strike was unnecessary.
There is a buffer of three months of fuel, should Isla be unable or unwilling to deliver.
