Stefan de Kok will be the new secretary of the Financial Supervision Board at the Curaçao secretariat

WILLEMSTAD - Stefan de Kok has been appointed secretary of the Board of Financial Supervision (CFT) in Curaçao for one year. His first day of work is October 1. The secretariat on Rouvilleweg conducts financial investigations and reports for all six islands. He succeeds Ray Thuis who served three and a half years in that post and will leave September 30.  

 

 

De Kok has been working in Willemstad since May 2018 as deputy secretary. Before that, he was head of Economic Statistics at the Central Bureau of Statistics in the Netherlands and held various positions at both Rabobank and ABN Amro Bank.  

 

The new CFT secretary studied business administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained an executive master's degree in finance at the Tias School for Business and Society in Tilburg.  

 

The appointment to this position came about through the general procedure for positions within the General Administrative Service. The recruitment and selection for this appointment has been done by the Directorate-General for the General Administrative Service.  

 

The secretary is assisted by policy advisers and support staff. There are currently eighteen people working at the secretariat.
