State Secretary Zsolt Szabó on working visit to Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - State Secretary Zsolt Szabó for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization will make his first official working visit to Curaçao on Tuesday. This visit follows shortly after his reception on Monday morning in Aruba, where he was welcomed by Aruba's Governor, Alfonso Boekhoudt, for an introductory meeting at the Governor's Ceremonial House. 

During his stay in Curaçao, Szabó will meet with Governor Lucille George-Wout, Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas, and Parliament Chair Charetti America-Francisca. In addition to these meetings, he will also receive an extensive tour of the island and engage with the National Reform Commission to discuss the latest developments and challenges. 

He will also meet with the President of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, Richard Doorenbosch. Furthermore, Szabó will hold discussions with justice sector partners and visit the Parera Naval Base, where he will receive a presentation on Coast Guard activities. 

After his visit to Curaçao, the State Secretary will travel to Bonaire for several official engagements. 

"With this working visit, State Secretary Szabó emphasizes the importance of strong relations within the Kingdom and continued cooperation in digitalization and reforms in the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom," stated the Dutch government. 

On Friday, August 16, Szabó will return to the Netherlands, with visits to the Windward Islands scheduled for a later date.
