State Secretary Van der Burg visits Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire

THE HAGUE - The Dutch State Secretary for Justice and Security Eric van der Burg will pay a three-day working visit to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. He will visit Curaçao and Aruba on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 September, to conclude the program on Wednesday 28 September on Bonaire.  

 

During the visit to these islands, Van der Burg will discuss migration issues and border control with various colleagues and chain partners. The aim is to get to know each other better, to learn from each other and to exchange practical experiences, in order to further strengthen cooperation between the countries.  

 

Van der Burg would like to see with his own eyes how the admission of foreigners and supervision of the borders of the Kingdom are arranged. On Bonaire, the State Secretary will visit the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force, the Caribbean Netherlands Judicial Institution and the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, among others. The visit will be concluded with the official opening of the new office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service CN in Bonaire.
