State Secretary Uslu resigns to lead Corendon

THE HAGUE - D66 State Secretary for Culture and Media, Gunay Uslu, has announced her departure from the Dutch cabinet to take on a leadership role at the travel organization and family business Corendon. Her departure is effective from December 1. 

Uslu emphasizes that her decision to leave was not an easy one and that she did not take this decision lightly. She feels a strong responsibility to make the transition to Corendon. 

In her announcement letter, she indicates that her love for the cultural and creative sector will persist, emphasizing the importance of culture. 

Outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte understands Uslu's decision and expresses appreciation for her dedication to the cultural sector. Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf of Education, Culture, and Science will temporarily take over her duties. 

For the remaining period of the outgoing Rutte IV cabinet, a new State Secretary from D66 will be sought.
