WILLEMSTAD - Maintenance work on the beginning of Caracasbaaiweg will commence this evening, involving the removal of the old asphalt layer and the application of a new asphalt layer. The work will take place between Dr. Maalweg and Architectenweg, starting at the traffic lights in Salina.
The execution of this project is entrusted to the Curaçao Road Construction Company and is expected to take four days. The work will be conducted from 8:00 PM in the evening to 5:00 AM in the morning.
Residents and businesses along this road will still have normal access to their homes or commercial properties. Alternative routes are available for other motorists using this road, clearly indicated by traffic signs and diversions.
St. Maria Intersection
Tomorrow, work will begin on the traffic lights at the intersection in St. Maria. The traffic lights will be replaced with energy-efficient LED lights. The work is scheduled from March 11 to 15, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. This schedule is intended to minimize disruption to traffic as much as possible.
During the work, the current traffic lights will be out of operation. In this period, normal traffic rules for an intersection without functioning traffic lights apply, and motorists should follow the traffic signs.
