WILLEMSTAD – The Department of Spatial Development and Planning (ROP) is currently experiencing delays in processing building permit applications, due to a combination of ongoing staff shortages and a high volume of requests. The department announced this in an official press release. 

Despite the challenges, ROP has published the approved permits for Week 26 of 2025 on the website of the Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning: www.vvrp.cw/permit. 

The department emphasized that it is doing everything possible to process new applications as quickly as possible, and asks the public for patience as they work to resolve the backlog.
