WILLEMSTAD - The sports committee says that between 20 and 25 million guilders is needed to make up for the maintenance backlog in sport.

The committee again called attention to the deficit due to budget treatment in Parliament. The sports committee also expresses its concerns about the offshore activities of gambling companies in Curaçao, the so-called sports betting.

The members argue for more laws and regulations within the sector.
