THE HAGUE - Infighting and mutual distrust pose a threat to the survival of the Kingdom. This is the assertion made by the Dutch Socialist Party (SP) in its election program titled 'Now the People,' presented today.
Within the program, there is only one brief paragraph addressing the Kingdom relations. Furthermore, the SP believes that the residents of the Caribbean Netherlands deserve better services.
From the SP's Election Program:
The current Kingdom of the Netherlands, with its autonomous countries Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten, is at risk of succumbing to political disputes and mutual distrust. Hence, we advocate for a new form of collaboration, one where we agree on how these four nations can cooperate more effectively, based on equality. The inhabitants of Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Bonaire are part of our country and deserve a much higher level of services.
