WILLEMSTAD - Many residents living on the leeward side of Dam Pretu will experience smoke nuisance in the coming days due to a fire that broke out at Dam Pretu this morning around 07:30 AM.
The fire brigade responded to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control. A bulldozer is also on site separating materials that have not been fully burned from the fire. At the moment, not many more measures can be taken. Heavy equipment will continue to work in the coming days. The fire brigade will also monitor the situation in the coming days.
