WILLEMSTAD - The Surinamese airline SLM has closed its sales offices in Curaçao and Guyana to the public as of January 15. This is reported by the Suriname Herald.
In a press statement, the SLM indicates that the closure is part of the implementation of its recovery plan. The closure marks an important step in this process.
SLM has to eliminate a total debt of approximately 75 million euros. The closure of the sales office and the dismissal of three people in Curaçao is part of this.
AVIAWORLD LLC has been appointed as the regional General Sales Agent for these two destinations as well as the Port of Spain and Miami destinations.
Surinam Airways informs that passengers can also contact all reputable travel agencies to book SLM tickets.
