WILLEMSTAD - The sixth edition of the Invest in Willemstad symposium will take place tomorrow at the auditorium of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten. The event coincides with the 27th anniversary of Willemstad’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and will emphasize sustainability and balanced urban development.
The program will open with remarks from representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the day, speakers and panelists will explore topics including Willemstad’s UNESCO status, art and culture, real estate development, and the role of investors in shaping the city. Highlights include discussions on the renovation of Kura Hulanda and upcoming projects in Pietermaai, Otrobanda, and Scharloo.
Afternoon sessions will focus on themes such as sustainability, urban living, and attracting digital nomads. Expert-led discussions will be followed by panel talks with practitioners sharing real-world insights. The event will conclude with a networking reception at a distinctive location in Willemstad.
“The city center belongs to everyone,” organizers emphasize. “We aim to position Willemstad as a hub of culture and sustainability where all feel welcome.”
Participation in the symposium is free, but registration is required through the Invest in Willemstad website.
