WILLEMSTAD - The royal family that will arrive in Curaçao on Wednesday afternoon has been delayed by 45 minutes. The naval vessel Zr.Ms. Holland naval vessel is now expected in Anna Bay at around 5.30 pm.
King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia sail with the ship from Aruba to Curaçao on Wednesday. A reason for the delay is not given. Princess Amalia's first visit to Curaçao is, among other things, devoted to the tasks of Defense in the Caribbean. The government of Curaçao announces that all residents are welcome in St. Anna Bay to follow the arrival of the Royal family.
Before arriving in St. Anna Bay, 35 gun salutes will sound in honor of the king. A festive outfit and, for example, flags may be taken to the quays. Companies may fly the flag of Curaçao today, tomorrow and Friday and, if possible, the flag of the Netherlands.
