WILLEMSTAD - There will be changes at the Department of Public Schools (DOS). This was announced by Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath, who is also temporarily responsible for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports.

“The service is now far too bureaucratic,” says the Premier. In the long term, DOS must operate more independently without direct interference from the minister. Schools must also merge so that the number of school boards decreases.
