WILLEMSTAD - The government and Aqualectra have decided to reconnect between 150 and 200 households that were shut off from the water supply network.
This was announced yesterday during a press briefing by Minister of Economic Development Giselle Mc William.
"The World Health Organization (WHO) has indicated that populations worldwide must have access to water because water is of great importance in the fight against the coronavirus. In this context, the utility company Aqualectra has done its homework and we have found 2,368 households that have been shut off. A portion has been registered with the Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW).”
“This part - which concerns between 150 and 200 households - we have decided to reconnect to the grid.”
