WILLEMSTAD - Selikor, Curaçao’s waste management company, announced continued delays in garbage collection this week due to a shortage of operational garbage trucks.
Efforts are underway to finalize the inspection and insurance processes for five new trucks. Selikor anticipates that by later this month, the backlog will be resolved, and all 18 daily routes will resume as scheduled.
Additionally, drivers are undergoing training to ensure they can safely operate the new vehicles, aiming to enhance service reliability and efficiency. The company remains committed to addressing the issue promptly and keeping the community informed.
