Sehos board: no more money for responsible health care

WILLEMSTAD - The delivery of responsible care is compromised. That is what the managing board of the St. Elisabeth Hospital (Sehos) stated this week. Although the government has repeatedly stated that this is not the case, and the Inspector decided last week to lift the operation stop, the hospital administration is sounding the alarm again.

According to the board, Sehos has high debts because there has been a low health care budget for years.

The extra funds that Sehos receives from Social Insurance Bank (SVB) is, according to them, an advance that Sehos has to repay, which means that the debts run up even higher. The board states that the stretch is out of the budget and that responsible care cannot be guaranteed.
