This will take place at the end of a ceremonial meeting, during which Governor Lucille George-Wout will address the cabinet's plans for the new parliamentary year in a speech. Today, during a public meeting, the previous parliamentary year 2023/2024 will be concluded.
Tomorrow, at the opening of the new parliamentary year, a formal meeting will be held with invited guests. The police, along with members of the VKC and Royal Navy, will form an honor guard at the Governor's Palace and the Parliament building at Wilhelminaplein. A part of Punda will be closed off in the morning.
