WILLEMSTAD - The second round of hearings by the commission of inquiry into Hospital Nobo Otrobanda (HNO) will begin on Monday. The committee will continue the questioning of mainly former politicians who were active during the plans for the construction of the new hospital.
Last month, the HNO committee questioned several individuals, including former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte. It is not known who will appear before the committee next week.
HNO reports that the hearings will focus on five different topics, namely the location of the hospital, financing, government decisions, construction and safety of the hospital, and the transition from the old to the new hospital.
It has not been disclosed which of the five themes will be the focus tomorrow. Also, no names have been published so far. HNO is asking people who have more information about the construction of the new hospital that the committee can benefit from to report it via email or phone.
