WILLEMSTAD - The search for the man who fell into the sea near Shut on Friday has been discontinued after four days. The fisherman has not been found.
The man, along with others on the north side, was looking for sea snails on Thursday. Around six o'clock something went wrong and he fell off the rocks into the sea.
The people with him did not alert authorities until an hour later, after their own attempt to locate the man failed.
The Coast Guard helicopter was immediately deployed to search for the man. The Coast Guard plane Dash was also on-site to search for the missing man.
Rescue organization CITRO was also informed and the Dutch naval vessel Groningen, currently sailing for the coastguard, was asked to assist. But without result.
